We asked our International Cafe guests what noise a dog makes and the results were brilliant! It just goes to show even what we hear and how we describe noises is different. We loved hearing from our friends all around the world.

Onomatopoeia – is the term for “the formation of a word from a sound associated with what is named”. There are lots of words that describes a noise like: splosh, crash, boom, beep, shush and growl. They are really fun words to say.
